Kiara in her mid 20’s, was wearing a short bodycon red dress, with black glittering pumps. Her lapis lazuli eyes glowing on her pale chalcedony face and her dark bronze hairs which fell across her neck in waves, added to her beauty. There she was walking with Lieutenant Kanishka who had cheeks chiselled like a finely-carved Michelangelo statue and his nose perfectly symmetrical. His lips slightly full- the kind that ends in a cute little smirk at the corners. The radiance of the moonlight highlighted the dimples in his cheeks and chin. His frame so firm and perfectly fit as speckles of sweat run down the cuts of his abs, on the narrow streets of Ooty, lit with bell shaped antique street lights on both sides. The weather was pleasant and the breeze carried the aroma of the tea gardens. Suddenly Kiara halted, Kanishk turned around to her asking, “Are you okay dear”, to which she replied, “Yes, I am Fine”, and paused for a few seconds. Under the street light her face gleamed and her big black eyes sparkled. Her redden lips broaden, spreading smile all over her face. Her soft manicured fingers slowly moved over to his firm wrists, gently descending to his upper palms finger gaps. She tenderly slid all her fingers, in between his, filling the gap and holding hands snugly. “Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gave me a fairytale”, said Kiara, looking into Kanishk’s eyes and it started to drizzle then. Listening to this, his heart almost skipped a beat. Kanishk unbinded his fingers from her right hand. He put his arm across her curvy waist and pulled her close. Close enough to feel her breath on his lips, yet holding her other hand the same way, she had done. He could feel the warmth of her body. Kiara felt her heart beating fast and a strange felling down in her belly. Kanishk tried looking into her eyes and a deep blush spread from head to her neck, drenched with droplets of rain. Kiara’s eyelids, slowly fell over each other, her cheeks, had those droplets of water flowing towards her lips, were pinkish, her nose also had the drops over it and her breath grew intense and heavy. In shyness she withdrew her wet fingers from his, and wrapped her arms around his neck. She tried to bury her blushing face into his chest. But Kanishk quickly understood her action. He let both her arms wrap him. With his right hand yet on her waist line, this time he could feel her body more prominently over her dress that got stuck to her body. And now with his left hand, he slowly raised her chin, to see that glow on her face. Kiara hurriedly shut her eyes again. The crystal clear water beads rested on her trembling lips. When Kanishk deliberately, moved his fingers lightly over her face, tucking her damp hair behind her ears, Kiara got goose bumps all over her body. Kanishk further moved his palms to the back of her head, twirling his fingers into her soggy hairs, smoothly stoked her little more close. Kiara froze to the same position. Kanishk delicately brushed his lips over to her cheeks, cleaning the water pearls, tenderly moved his lips on hers. The moment froze for both of them. He slowly sucked her lower lips, separating the duo. Her lips tasted tangy strawberry. He could feel the chills run all through her skin. She felt a fire burnt inside her. Her arms yet wrapped around his neck, his body pressed against hers. She leaned a bit on him, raising her left leg from her knee. His lips were warmer and softer than anything she could have imagined, yet fierce and powerful at the same time. Hers responded hungrily, and she tightened her hold on him. His fingers slid down the back of her neck, tracing its shape, and every place they touched was electric.

The rain had stopped and the sky was getting clear. The moon’s looked bigger and brighter, as if it had come closer to the earth. It shone in full power sprinkling its light all over. Moments later Kanishk, gradually, separated their heads and broke the kiss, with that wicked smile on his face. He very well knew that Kiara wanted some more of it. Kiara was a little surprised and annoyed at the same time. She was longing for this moment from so long. “I love it when in the middle of our kiss, I can feel you smiling”, said Kanishk, and his words in seconds changed the expression of her face, back to that red blush. “Come, hold my hand and let me take you to witness something classic”, said Kanishk, as he pulled Kiara. “Wait let me remove my stilettos”, said Kiara. “Okay, even I will remove my sneakers, and will walk barren feet. You okay to walk like this on the street?” asked Kanishk. “Yeah, I am, don’t you worry”, said Kiara. Both of them had their footwear’s in their hands. Kanishk pulled Kiara, both of them held each other through their waists and started walking. Kiara walked on the footpath and kanishk on the road, to match up heights and he didn't want her soft feet to be hurt. Kiara was a puddle of water at a straight distant. She cleverly engaged Kanishk in her question, like where are we going , how far is it, etc.. Kanishk was busy thinking of excuses, as he wanted to surprise her. It thus got was too late for him to notice the puddle of water, they had approached. Kiara with all her effort jumped into the water, splashing it all over both of them. Kanishk swiftly carried her by waist to avoid her jump again. Happiness spread in the air. Kiara laughed her heart out. Kanishk put her down on her feet and was smilingly noticing her innocent joy. “Baby see, what you have done. I am completely soaked now”, said Kanishk. “Really, is it so, come let me check how much soaked in you have gone”, said Kiara raising her eye-brows, with a naughty smile. “You wanna check baby, come catch me”, saying Kanishk started running mildly, making Kiara chase him. He would stop for her to come close to catch him, and again make an instant move.

He reached to a point and stopped, and was starkly starring to the sky. Kiara saw him stop, camouflaged herself and timidly moved to him, without making any noise. As she reached closer to him, she almost sprang on him, saying “Caught you baby”. Kanishk got a better hold of her, cupping her completely into his arms. He brushed his nose to her and kissed her forehead, taking a deep breath. Kiara was still struggling for her breath and was inhaling in gasps. As she got normal, Kanishk released their hug, turned her adjacent to him. Putting his left arm on her shoulders, he pointed with his right hand towards the sky. Kiara was puzzled to look at the sky to find it on its very regular mode. Same with the moon surrounded with millions of stars. Before she could ask Kanishk any question, he whispered into her ears, “It’s not the regular moon. It’s is the super moon..more closer to the earth, that occurs once in years”. He had just finished his sentence and the sky sparkled with the meteor shower. Both of them standing close to each other, holding each other witnessed million sparks of light at a time in the sky. These pinpoints of light that streak across the night sky were glowing and smaller than a grain of rice. Kiara watched the moment with utmost amusement in her eyes. Kanishk slowly whispered in her ears, “I Love You Kiara, Marry me”. Under the shining sky, Kiara turned toward Kanishk straightly looked into his eyes. Without uttering a word, she cupped his face between both her hands and at once placed her lips of him. Kanishk felt shocked for a moment, because he had not expected such a reaction. Soon realizing the moment, he held pulled from her waist and responded back to her kiss. This time it went more longer and more passionate. Both of them melted in each other’s arms. Her perfume’s lavender fragrance was yet driving him crazy. He could still feel the remains of the strawberry lipstick. She slowly opened up her mouth for his tongue to roll in. He too explored her well and their tongues rolled in together. His hands were constantly moving all over her body and she was caressing her fingers in his hairs. He tightly clutched her into his arms, passionately kissing her. She couldn't control any more and moaned softly. This time it was Kiara who broke the kiss, since she felt an urgent need of oxygen to catch her breath back.

“It’s not being in love that makes me happy. It’s being in love with you that makes me happy. And HAPPINESS is a journey not a destination”, said Kiara, as they walked home together.
